BRAKUJĄCE SEDNO 2019
Praca prezentuje wątek osobisty. Jest to wyznanie wiary dziecka, które zestawiam z instytucjonalną strukturą kościoła – w formie jednolitej białej układanki puzzle, w której brakuje kluczowego centralnego elementu.
Wizerunek układanki nawiązuje do ikonicznego obrazu Najświętsze Serce Jezusa – oblubieńca i towarzysza mojego dzieciństwa. Ułożenie białych puzzli staje się zadaniem niemożliwym do wykonania. To rodzaj rytuału wymagającego skupienia i medytacji.
Praca to pytanie o „sedno” w kontekście wyzwań, z którymi mierzy się współcześnie kościół, ale też człowiek, żyjący w pogoni za hedonistycznym, bezrefleksyjnym „układaniem puzzli” życia. W obliczu wyzwań współczesnego świata istota natury ludzkiej ulega ciągłym modyfikacjom, podczas których zaczynamy gubić jej pierwotny sens.
Praca premierowo realizowana na wystawę w Künstlerhaus Goettingen w Niemczech.
Prezentowana w Toruniu, Olsztynie, Cieszynie, Warszawie. W 2024 r. została zaproszona na jubileuszowe 20-lecie, największego wydarzenia związanego ze sztuką papieru: Lucca Biennale Cartasia we Włoszech.

MISSING THE POINT 2019
The work presents a personal theme. It is a child’s confession of faith, which I juxtapose with the institutional structure of the church – in the form of a uniform white jigsaw puzzle, in which the key central element is missing. The image of the puzzle refers to the iconic image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus – the beloved and companion of my childhood. Putting the white puzzle pieces together becomes an impossible task. It is a kind of ritual requiring concentration and meditation. The work is a question about the “essence” in the context of the challenges faced today by the church, but also by people living in pursuit of a hedonistic, unreflective “puzzle-solving” of life. In the face of the challenges of the modern world, the essence of human nature is constantly changing, and we are beginning to lose sight of its original meaning. The work was premiered at the Künstlerhaus Goettingen in Germany. It has been presented in Toruń, Olsztyn, Cieszyn, and Warsaw. In 2024, it was invited to the 20th anniversary of the largest event related to paper art: Lucca Biennale Cartasia in Italy.
