DATAMORPHOSIS 2024
Monumentalna instalacja z papieru realizowana podczas miesięcznego pobytu rezydencyjnego w Lucce w Toskanii w sekcji OutDoor LUCCA BIENNALE CARTASIA w 20-lecie tego największego na świece biennale papieru. Instalacja ma 4 metry wysokości, fi – 2,5 metra i umieszczona została w przestrzeni starego miasta Lucca w bramie San Gervasio od lipca do końca września 2024.
„Datamorphosis” obrazuje zatracanie się w wirtualnej sieci labiryntu post-prawdy i nowych technologii AI. Instalacja ma otwarte możliwości interpretacyjne. Zadaje pytania: Gdzie dziś znajduje się nasza uwaga w kontekście Sztucznej Inteligencji ?
Czy uwikłanie w kokon wirtualnej rzeczywistości i mediów społecznościowych ogranicza i izoluje nasze funkcjonowanie w realnym świecie?
Czy wręcz przeciwnie, otwiera nas na nową formę egzystencji, która ma dostęp do wszystkich danych?
Być może z nadejściem ery AI jesteśmy w procesie przepoczwarzania w hybrydowe istoty w zsieciowanej bazie danych.
Instalacja realizowana podczas rezydencji artystycznej we Włoszech gdzie otrzymała nagrodę Outdoor Competition Award 2024 w 12 edycji Lucca Biennale Cartasia.

DATAMORPHOSIS 2024
My monumental paper installation created during a month-long residency in Lucca, Tuscany, was a part of the OutDoor section of LUCCA BIENNALE CARTASIA, marking the 20th anniversary of the world’s largest paper biennale. The installation measures 4 meters in height with a diameter of 2.5 meters and was placed in the historic center of Lucca, at the San Gervasio Gate, from July through the end of September 2024.
’Datamorphosis’ depicts the immersion in the virtual labyrinth of post-truth and emerging AI technologies. The installation is open to multiple interpretations and poses questions such as: Where is our attention today in the context of Artificial Intelligence…
Does entanglement in the cocoon of virtual reality and social media limit and isolate our existence in the real world…
Or, on the contrary, does it open us to a new form of being with access to all data?
Perhaps with the advent of the AI era, we are in the process of metamorphosing into hybrid-beings within a networked database.
The installation was created during the artist residency in Italy, where it received the Outdoor Competition Award 2024 in the 12th edition of the Lucca Biennale Cartasia.
