LADY MIDDAY 2013
Both in Polish Silesian, and Germanic legends there is a demon Południca / Połednica / Pschespolnitza (Mittagsfrau). According to folk legends this character appeared in the meadows and fields during the harvest time. Południca usually appears at midday, mostly on sunny and hot days. She was variously described, appeared as a young girl or the old woman wrapped in a white cloth with loose hair in disarray. She was not responding to anything. She just went ahead. On the back she was carrying a bag in which she kept children she previously kidnapped. In hands she usually held a sickle with which she harasses the victims.

Feeling of fear for the inexplicable is the common experience of all the people. The mythical figure of Południca is the embodiment of the dread fear and helplessness to the tragic situations that go beyond the practical knowledge. During the occupation of the Polish lands by a strong German settlement behaviour (Prussia,Silesia), in mysterious circumstances many children had disappeared. I am not able to understand that the true identity had been taken away of the 220 thousands children dedicated to Lebensborn program- which uses the potential of ALGIZ ᛉ of Rune , absurdly, a symbol of an internal directive for the protection of themselves and their land from the aggression. Not finding a logical explanation for this tragedy I’m running in a mythical projection in the form of an artistic picture-puzzle. However, your fate will not depend on your answer to my artistic riddle.
