INK DRAWINGS
For me, drawing is a way of materializing my inner world, a means of constructing a safe space; it is a way to focus and regulate my emotions, something I’ve done intuitively since childhood. It’s my inner safety valve. Most of the drawings are done on paper. Sometimes I create the surfaces myself by recycling various fibers, such as cotton T-shirts or waste paper. The drawings are an expression of the moment. Sometimes they are simple. Other times, they are complex. Often funny, ironic, and yet full of nostalgia. The impetus for their creation was the lockdown during the 2020–2021 pandemic.
