INK DRAWINGS
Drawing is a way of regulating emotions. It is my internal safety valve. Most of my drawings are done on paper. Sometimes I create my own bases from recycled fibers, such as cotton T-shirts or waste paper. Drawings are an expression of the moment. Sometimes they are simple. Other times they are complex. Often funny, ironic, and at the same time full of nostalgia. The impulse for their creation was the lockdown during the 2020/21 pandemic. I am currently expanding my drawing tools with self-made ink from black walnuts, fruits, vegetables, and gallnuts.
These activities are aimed at achieving full creative independence and are part of a research project entitled “Fragility and resilience: discovering the potential of natural materials in contemporary art practice,” carried out in collaboration with PhD student Satabdi Hati
